Adopt a TutorialThis is a featured page

One goal of this initiative is to encourage people to take responsibility for creating and updating one Tutorial. This will enable everyone to have access to current Tutorials despite changes made to databases, e-journals or e-book search engines by vendors or publishers. If you have consulted the list and wish to adopt a Tutorial, please let others know by (1) gettting an account on this wiki and (2) posting what you are working on - on one of our Wiki lists (see: Online Resources Tutorials List, Information Literacy Tutorials List, Literacy Tutorials List Handicapped Users Tutorials List, and DATA and GIS Tutorials List). Doing so will enable others to learn what work is in being done, so they can (1) access a completed tutorial and (2) volunteer to work on something that has yet to be adopted. Relevant information should include:

  • Name of the E-Resource a tutorial is being designed for (if for an e-resource tutorial)
  • Name of the Vendor for the e-resource (if for an e-resource tutorial)
  • Name of the Tutorial
  • Your Name and Contact Information
  • If you are working on an update to an existing tutorial
This list is dynamic and can be added to if you do not see a product - or type of tutorial - in one one of our lists. We not only expect - but encourage - people to add new tutorials to the list - as this will ensure that it remains current and relevant.

If you already have a tutorial developed and want to add it to our collection, you are welcome to do so, provided that you have eliminated any references to your local library - as it needs to be generic enough to be relevant to other libraries. But please, add the name of the tutorial, and the above information, onto one of our lists!

Note: There are several RSS feeds to the left of this page which will then notify others anytimes someone has Adopted or Completed a specific tutorial. This enables people to keep current about ongoing developments. To learn all about how to see the latest changes to the site read our section on RSS Feeds in our FAQ.

Hi Carmen - thanks for the acknowledgement of my application to join ANTS. Can you please tell me about my permissions. Can I write to the wiki with my current permissions? I can't see how to do so. Also, can you please point me to the best site to view the existing resources. Is it the DSpace link?

Thanks - Suella
