Literacy Tutorials Identified for DevelopmentThis is a featured page

The idea for such an open source list came from a collegue I met at Access 2006. He commented that the Literacy Software used at his public library was so expensive that they could only mount it on one computer and wished that it could be placed on a network without licensing restrictions so all public libraries would have access to such software. We agreed and so we have set up this section of a Wiki for those who are interested in developing Open Source Literacy Software. We hope that Public Librarians and Educators undertake the development of this.

As of yet no content has yet been identified, but all ideas for content are welcome and should be posted on this page.

Similarly, any existing Literacy Tutorials can be:

  1. Uploaded into our Institutional Repository (to learn how to do so simple watch our tutorial on Uploading content to DSpace)
  2. Linked to from this page once a full record exists for it in DSpace. (e.g. See linked MLA Basic Search Full Record)
