ANTS may contain a central hub for library screencast files, but it is not the only place on the Internet where this content can be located. Many people are now contributing files to their Institutional Repositories - but how can you find this content given that there are hundreds of said repositories?

The best way is to use one of two repository search engines:

OAIster created by OCLC will search across repositories and its content is harvested by Google.

OpenDOAR also searches across repositories and as an open tool can be used by anyone, anywhere.

Try looking for a tutorial for a specific database using these search engines. If a tutorial is listed, you should find a link to the files but what files you locate (i.e. the Source Code OR the actual Multimedia/Shockwave Flash File) is dependent upon what the contributor chooses to upload (at ANTS we provide a tutorial asking contributors to upload both the Source Code and Final Production.)

Give either a try if you want to locate the actual files for local use and look for the Creative Commons License. Any Creative Commons License will allow you to automatically use and share content in an Institutional Repositories. If it DOES NOT contain a No Derivative Works clause, you can also make modifications to the source code for local purposes (e.g change languages, add your library brand, etc.)
