I posted in "Best practices in screencasting" about using interactivity with .mp4. If you are using a server, not Facebook etc, then you have a html and a mp4 to deliver interactive elements. Unless you have a code wrangler who can write embed code for you, you are out of luck because all you have is a URL to the html which invokes the mp4.
Hence "faux embedding".
Start the tutorial and freeze it on the title frame. Do a screen cap, crop out everything except the title screen and save as a jpg. Then upload the jpg to your server, link the html to the image and your users will see an image very much like what they would see in a "real" embed. You can adjust the image size to match the space in the web page that delivers the tutorials. Do you find this valuable?
